The Friends group and individual members have written submissions on Parks issues, local planning, and other topics which impact on the Yarra Valley Parks.

 

11 February 2009 -- SUBMISSION TO VEAC ON CROWN LAND

  • Requesting that Public Open Space (1) be retained and expanded, (2) be adequately funded and managed, and (3) be supported by stronger Local Planning Schemes.
  • Also stresses that Green Wedges be maintained, that unsustainable Population Growth be reduced, and that development in fire-prone areas should be curbed.

24 September 2007 -- SUBMISSION TO THE SELECT COMMITTEE ON PUBLIC LAND DEVELOPMENT

  • Submitted to the Upper House, Parliament of Victoria
  • Asking that Public Open Space be preserved and improved, and not sold off for development.
